It’s great that you have such clarity so early on and are taking steps towards your fashion dream.

I wish I had a crystal ball to tell you where you will shine in future. But the truth is I don’t.

But you know yourself better than anyone.

So, trust your gut. What do you want? What are you drawn to?

Follow that.

If you have no idea, then do these 3 things...

1. Do your research. There is a world of careers in the fashion industry. I wrote this article that links to a couple of interviews with fashion professionals to get you started.


2. Try things out: it’s one thing to say you’d love to do something and it’s another thing to actually love doing it. I suggest starting a blog or getting on social media and sharing whatever area of fashion you are most drawn to. See what it feels like to have to do fashion on a regular basis


3. Allow our self to grow and change: even if you knew exactly what you wanted to do right now, in a few years you may have gained interest in another area of fashion. This is perfectly alright. So I wouldn’t put so much pressure on yourself to have everything figured out now. You will grow and change in this industry regardless.

In short explore fashion and other areas of art and design. Learn as much as you can. And be open to whatever the future holds.
